Acne Rosacea Skin Care

Acne rosacea is a fairly common skin disease. Due to the disease, red spots that are similar to pimples appear on the faces of the individuals.However these spots are not pimples but enlarged blood vessels that show through the skin, creating red color dots on various areas of the face. Acne rosacea mainly appears on the chin, the forehead and on the lower part of the nose. Acne rosacea may not actually be the proper name for this disease as the term is simply rosacea and acne is referred to here due to the similarity between acne and rosacea.

Acne as we all know is most common among teens. However, acne rosacea is most frequent among fair skinned people between the ages of 30 and 50. The good news about acne rosacea is that unlike in acne there are no whiteheads or blackheads. Although acne rosacea is most commonly associated with women, the disease is more severe in the case of men.

If the disease persist it is best to seek medical acne treatment. Eventhough acne rosacea normally appear and disappear suddenly, it is highly possible that it would reappear. Especially when acne rosacea appears in the eye, neglecting the disease could result in your vision being impaired. A person with untreated acne rosacea may find his/her nose and cheeks reddening and puffing up. In the lower half of the nose and on the cheeks thick bumps might also appear, having a bad effect on the appearance. entirely cured in most cases.
