Dermalogica was formed in 1986 by a skin therapist named Jane Wurwand. She realized that there was no skin care regimen available that treated skin care health, instead of skin care beauty. Her mission was to educate skin care therapists so that they would be able to treat their patients with more knowledge. Her first priority was to eliminate fillers that are harmful to the skin from her products. Her skin care products have no mineral oil, Lanolin, or artificial colors and fragrances. In addition, her products are never tested on animals.
